Bluebell Cottage, Matlock Bath, Derbyshire - 3 star 'Visit Britain' grading

A most characterful, individual 3 bedroom cottage, dating from the late 1700s. Being the centre cottage of three, situated within a World Heritage Site. Positioned just off the A6, at the bottom of the hillside, with country walks right from the front door. Built in conjunction with Sir Richard Arkwright's showpiece mill opposite the cottage, now restored as a local visitor attraction.

The well equipped cosy cottage has beamed ceilings, full central heating, a log burner, and two bathrooms. The cottage has ideal accommodation for 2-6 guests, with a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, and a bedroom with an adult sized bunk bed. There is a sunny cottage garden with table and chairs.

Parking space 400 yards. Ideal for exploring the Peak District, and close to many famous attractions. Pubs and restaurants are within walking distance, and the cottage has excellent public transport links.

Jordanthorpe Farm, Sheffield. South Yorkshire - 3 star 'Visit Britain' grading

An historic farmhouse dating back over 300 years, and famous as the birthplace of painter and sculptor Sir Francis Chantrey. Situated near the Derbyshire border the house has the advantage of proximity to both the Peak District and amenities of Sheffield.

The farmhouse is very spacious and well equipped, and has an atmospheric heavily beamed, stone flagged dining room, which will seat 14 at an antique pine table. There are 5 bedrooms which will sleep a maximum of 14 guests. There is full central heating, two log fires, an Aga, plus a Rangemaster oven. The accommodation also includes a comfortable lounge, a farmhouse kitchen breakfast room, study, conservatory, 3 bathrooms and ground floor cloakroom. Wi-Fi access.

The house enjoys a sizeable garden with outdoor furniture, barbecue, and ample parking space. An ideal venue for family occasions, reunions, hen nights, etc. Within walking distance of a Leisure Centre with pool, and an excellent park with farm animals, including rare breeds. Please note the farmhouse has a friendly resident housecat!

Morning Glory, Les Fleurs, Christ Church, Barbados

A most attractive newly built colonial style townhouse, being one of just six known as Les Fleurs, situated in a select residential area close to the South Coast, and overlooking Barbados Golf Club.

The house is set within gated landscaped grounds, and shares a lovely 28ft swimming pool. The well equipped property has 2 bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed, one of the bedrooms having a balcony and ocean view. Ideal accommodation for two couples, but can sleep 6 by using a sofa bed.

There is a full bathroom plus ground floor cloakroom. The house is very light, spacious and airy, with air conditioning in both bedrooms. A large stylish open plan ground floor has a French window opening to a small terrace, and garden with outdoor furniture and barbecue. Private parking space. Just 5 min drive to the airport and 3 min drive to a glorious beach! Bus stop 400 yards with regular services to the beach and Bridgetown.
